From January 5–9, 2026, Action for Healthy Communities welcomed Bravo Target Safety for an intensive, week-long Safety Watch training hosted at our office. This collaboration brought real-world industry expertise directly to participants and provided an opportunity for them to develop skills in the Safety Watch role.
Over the week, eight participants were selected to take part in the cohort. They focused on learning the knowledge, responsibilities, and best practices of the Safety Watch role, including how to maintain workplace safety and keep workers and worksites safe in high-risk environments. The training allowed participants to engage with the expectations of the role and practice the skills required to perform effectively.
Five participants successfully completed the full week of training. Their commitment, resilience, and willingness to learn were evident throughout the program. With the skills gained during the training, these participants are now prepared to begin their employment journey with Bravo Target Safety. The program highlighted the importance of training in building job readiness and providing participants with practical skills applicable to their future employment.

Action for Healthy Communities extends thanks to Bravo Target Safety for their support and delivery of the training. Their team provided guidance and mentorship to participants and ensured that the training objectives were met. Partnerships like this help participants develop skills while connecting them to stable employment opportunities in industries where these skills are in demand.
The newly trained Safety Watch candidates are now prepared, confident, and ready to take on their roles. The program demonstrates how focused training and professional support can help participants gain practical knowledge and prepare for future employment opportunities.
