On October 24, 2022, AHC celebrated its 7th Annual Celebration of Entrepreneurial Successes at Chateau Louis Hotel & Conference Centre.
This annual graduation ceremony honours the dedication and commitment of the entrepreneurs from the Entrepreneurship Supports Program, including newcomers who have made significant investments in leveraging AHC’s resources dedicated to SME support.
Each year, AHC’s Entrepreneurship Supports Program (ESP) engages four cohorts of aspiring entrepreneurs whose business experts will assist in business creation, planning, business development, launching, and expansion/growth strategies. This program is funded by the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and the Government of Alberta (GOA).
Over 60 entrepreneurs from the Spring 2021 to Fall 2021 cohorts graduated from the program this year. These graduates actively participated in various ESP events, such as farmer markets, online webinars, business clubs, business trips, coaching, and mentorship. The event also provided a platform for SMEs to connect, network, and showcase their products and services to the public.
Inspiring testimonies were heard during the event, emphasizing how the ESP program ignited the graduates’ entrepreneurial spirit. It served as a catalyst in empowering them to advance with confidence in the Canadian business world.
The gathering was attended by local entrepreneurs, business mentors, community leaders, MLAs, funders, partners, and stakeholders cheering the successes of Edmonton’s local entrepreneurs. The event concluded with the awarding of certificates for the graduates of the program.
