On September 15, 2021, Alberta declared a Public Health State of Emergency. To remain responsive to the needs of our community members, while still maintaining strong health and safety measures, we will make the following changes to our service delivery, effective immediately.
1. AHC Mandatory COVID Vaccination Policy: Effective Monday, November 15, 2021, it will be mandatory for all staff, volunteers, placement students, and clients to provide recognized proof of full vaccination (two doses) against COVID-19.
2. No Client Walk-ins: Effective immediately, our front door will remain locked and staff will be meeting with clients on an appointment basis only.
3. Client screening and vaccination status: Effective immediately, all clients with in-office appointments will need to show proof of COVID-19 Vaccination status. To access in-person supports, all clients with in-person appointments must be fully vaccinated (two doses taken, with the second taken at least 14-days prior). After a client’s vaccination status has been verified at the front door, clients will still be required to sign in at the reception and complete the COVID-19 symptom screening and temperature check before receiving support. Masks are required while inside the facility.
4. Supports for clients without vaccination: We are still open to supporting clients without vaccination through primarily virtual means. Please call: (780) 944-4687 or email communications@a4hc.ca for more information.
