Are you interested in volunteering but not sure where to begin?

Volunteering with AHC is more than giving your time—it’s about building skills, strengthening connections, and contributing to a community where everyone can thrive. Through our Volunteer Development Program, you’ll have opportunities to expand your experience, gain confidence, and support equity-deserving communities in Edmonton.

Volunteer Opportunities

We offer a variety of volunteer roles, which may include:
  • Front Desk / Reception
  • IT / Data Analytics
  • Data Entry / Administration
  • Tax Clinic Filing (February–April each year)
  • Special Events
  • …and more!

Volunteer openings vary throughout the year, depending on program needs and the unique skills each volunteer brings. To find the best fit, every volunteer begins with an interview.

Important Information to Know Before You Apply

  • In-person only: At this time, all volunteer opportunities are based at our Edmonton office. Please ensure commuting is manageable for you.
  • Hours: Most roles are available during standard business hours (Monday–Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm). Occasionally, we host evening roles or events (5:00 – 8:00 pm).
  • Application process: After submitting your application, you will receive an email invitation for a volunteer interview within two weeks. This message will include next steps. In the meantime, we encourage you to explore our programs and review our Annual Report to better understand our work and impact.
