Fresh from her inspiring journey, Yiniva Murillo is turning her passion for community celebration into a thriving, women-led business that inspires and connects her community.

In the spirit of continuing International Women’s Day, we celebrate Yiniva — a determined entrepreneur, creative visionary, and community leader whose journey reflects the strength, resilience, and independence of women everywhere.

What began as a love for organizing events has grown into a fully registered business. With guidance and support from Action for Healthy Communities (AHC), Yiniva received business counseling, connections to resources, and access to partner networks — empowering her to take action, launch her company, and expand her work as an event coordinator and decorator.

Yiniva’s story shows how women’s social and economic rights allow women to determine their own financial futures. Through entrepreneurship, she is breaking down barriers, building equity, and creating opportunities that strengthen her community.

She is widely recognized for organizing vibrant food events, volunteering her time, and uplifting cultural celebrations. Beyond that, Yiniva has founded a dance group that encourages cultural expression and meaningful engagement — showing that entrepreneurship can extend far beyond profit, into community leadership and empowerment.

In 2025, she generously decorated the AHC booth at K-Days at no cost — showcasing her services while supporting AHC’s outreach. Her initiative demonstrates how taking action can create ripple effects that benefit entire communities.

Currently, Yiniva works part-time to focus on expanding her business. Through AHC’s Community Development Unit (CDU) Program, she continues to strengthen her skills, access resources, and grow her presence in the entertainment and events industry.

How To Become a Women Entrepreneur With the Support of AHC
