The New Immigrant and Refugee Youth Camps program offers diverse opportunities for newcomer children & youth in Edmonton. Youth are engaged with fun and educational activities in various themes, which are designed to enhance their academic achievement, develop personal and social skills, build resilience, develop a healthy lifestyle, increase community connection and foster cross-cultural interaction and friendship. All of this interactive learning is intended to help new immigrant youth to begin to root themselves into Canadian society and have a strong foundation to build their life journey in their newly adopted home.

This program is offered at 27  partner schools across Edmonton once a week. The students attending those partner schools can participate in this program, through referral by the school teachers.

This program is offered at NO COST to new immigrant youth. (Proof of the immigration status for permanent residents or refugee claimants is required when registering.)
